About
Nebraska Historical is a free web application that puts Nebraska's history at your fingertips. Nebraska Historical originated at the University of Nebraska at Omaha Libraries led by Jason A. Heppler; most of the stories created here are made by UNO students. The project lets you explore the people, places, and moments that have shaped the state's history through layered, map-based, multimedia presentations.
Dr. Jason Heppler is Editor of Nebraska Historical. He is a historian and senior developer at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media at George Mason University.
Want to become involved with Nebraska Historical? We are seeking partners, stories, sponsors, and ideas to add more to the project. Contact Dr. Jason Heppler to see how you can help!
Research Partners
This project would not be possible without the support of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Department of History and the ongoing efforts of students at UNO.
