Omaha Historical is a free web application that puts Nebraska's history at your fingertips. Omaha Historical is a project of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Libraries, and most of the stories created here are made by UNO students. The project lets you explore the people, places, and moments that have shaped the state's history through layered, map-based, multimedia presentations.
Dr. Jason Heppler is Editor of Omaha Historical. He is the Digital Engagement Librarian and Assistant Professor of History at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Want to become involved with Omaha Historical? We are seeking partners, stories, sponsors, and ideas to add more to the project. Contact Dr. Jason Heppler to see how you can help!
This project would not be possible without the support of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Department of History and the ongoing efforts of students at UNO.
